lyrics

I am as Father Walt:
poet of body and soul.
I tell only truths
and there is truth in what I tell.
Listen well...

I spend most time alone
wondering how to feel.
These days I must confess
that I don't hate how good it feels
to be free.

I am the one who lies naked on the floor,
who won't walk out the door,
who will tremble at his core with thoughts of you.
I am the one who resigns himself, what for?
who will tell of goodness more,
who will sing this ancient score for far too long.

Please let go of the lie;
there is no one kind of love.
I must first hold myself
to every candle that I've burned
then light anew.
